How To Resolve ORA-16816 at Data Guard Broker Configuration (Doc ID 2855164.1)

Goal

At an environment where the Data Guard Broker is configured, if you change the database role from SQL*Plus instead of DGMGRL or Cloud Control, the database role recognized by Data Guard Broker will be different from the actual database role.
And, show database will return ORA-16816.
