Converting Physical to Snapshot standby gets hung in Broker/SQL prompt but (Doc ID 2855932.1)

Symptoms

For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example to describe the procedure:

Database name          : ORCL

Primary db_unique_name : ORCL

Standby db_unique_name : ORCL_DR

 

 

Physical to Snapshot standby conversion got hang without an error message.

 System State Dump and HangAnalyze report didn't report any wait events information related to conversion to Snapshot.

Database_Role in v$database shows the Database got converted to Snapshot Standby.
