Symptoms

Post application of 19c Oct-2021 DBRU(<Patch 33192793>), OCI application raises the following error while OCIStmtExecute() attempts to insert VARCHAR2 data followed by CLOB Data(length > 10922 characters) in a table.

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [koklGetLocAndFlag: bndpos], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], []

For example, the following INSERT statement fails where the columns 'COL1' to 'COL15' are declared as VARCHAR2 and 'COL16' is declared as CLOB.

The issue is not observed when the length of the CLOB data is restricted to 10922 characters or only the CLOB data is inserted into the table.

Changes

<Patch 33192793> - DATABASE RELEASE UPDATE 19.13.0.0.0 is applied to the database.
