Symptoms

We are receiving the following when we try to launch our Veridata web interface:

An Error Occurred:
Exception while calling encodeEnd on component : {Component-Path : [Class: javax.faces.component.UIViewRoot,ViewId: /welcome.jsp][Class: org.apache.myfaces.custom.layout.HtmlPanelLayout,Id: j_id_id5]}

Caused by:
java.lang.NullPointerException - java.lang.NullPointerException
