(Doc ID 2888541.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Big Data Appliance Integrated Software - Version 4.13.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Both NameNodes for Big Data Appliance go into standby mode. One may see the following:
NameNode summary: <BDA_NAMENODE_HOST_1> (Availability: Standby, Health: Good), <BDA_NAMENODE_HOST_2>; (Availability: Standby, Health: Good). This health test is bad because the Service Monitor did not find an active NameNode.
Additionally, TCP retransmission was observed in the connections to ZooKeeper Server, suggesting network congestion.
