Symptoms

On RHEL8/OL8,ASM generates coredump while querying v$asm_disk when asmlib is configured on top of 512E storage disks.This does not allow
creation of 4K SECTOR_SIZE Diskgroups.Value of ORACLEASM_USE_LOGICAL_BLOCK_SIZE is set to "false".

 - OR -

ASM may crash while adding a new disk to the diskgroup.
