Last updated on APRIL 17, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 19.13.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

NOTE: In the images, examples and document that follow, user details, cluster names, hostnames, directory paths, filenames, etc. represent a fictitious sample (and are used to provide an illustrative example only). Any similarity to actual persons, or entities, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

You notice that Grid home patch or binary relink will cause the Clusterware stack size go back to the 2m default, EVEN the limits.conf file exists, oracle processes from 19c GRID have only 2M stack size.

Example:

Get PID for the listener, in this example PID is 4570

Run this command to check value of CRS_LSNR_STACK :

ps e -ww -p 4570

It returns default 2048

CRS_LIMIT_STACK=2048
