Goal

 Need to capture the CLIENT_ID field in DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL 

 

Symptoms

CLIENT_ID field is blank in audit records (DBA_AUDIT_TRAIL)

 

Cause

 CLIENT_ID field is blank in audit record because the identifier hasn't been set in application code.
