Symptoms

 vsftpd service fails to start after disabling IPv6.

 

# systemctl start vsftpd.service
Job for vsftpd.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status vsftpd.service

 

# systemctl status vsftpd.service
* vsftpd.service - Vsftpd ftp daemon
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/vsftpd.service; enabled; vendor preset: disabled)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Tue 2022-08-30 09:22:37 JST; 2 days ago
Process: 7759 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/vsftpd /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
