Goal
Provide the steps to skip upgrading the Big Data Manager (BDM) service when upgrading BDA 4.13 to BDA 5.2.
It is possible to use the Big Data Manager service installed on BDA 4.13 after upgrade to BDA 5.2. However changes to the Big Data Manager service made in BDA 5.2 will not be present when using the non-updated BDA 4.13 BDM in BDA 5.2. In BDA 5.2 the following features present in the BDA 4.13 BDM were removed:
- pipeline functionality
- bdm-notebook
- bdm-proxy
But if BDM was not upgraded, the 4.13 functionality will be present in BDA 5.2.
