OGG Extract/Replicat Performance Degraded To 50% Post The Local Wallet AES 256 Algorithm Implementation
(Doc ID 2925701.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2024
Applies to:
Oracle GoldenGate - Version 21.3.0.0.0 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
OGG extract's performance degraded to 50% post the local wallet AES 256 algorithm implementation.
This was observed in below configuration:
Oracle DB: 19c (with latest July 2022 RU patch - 19.16.0.0)
OGG core MA 21.6
OGG Bigdata MA 21.6
Changes
User has OGG without the Encryption, in which they see the extract speed is optimal (example for one of the table of 135 GB usually took 2Hrs 15 Mins to perform full or initial load).
They added the encryption with AES 256 algorithm and now the same tables' extract time increased to 3Hrs 20 Mins (approx 50% more time)
The same behavior is seen in the replicat side too.
