Symptoms

In the images, examples and document that follow, user details, cluster names, hostnames, directory paths, filenames, etc. represent a fictitious sample (and are used to provide an illustrative example only). Any similarity to actual persons, or entities, living or dead, is purely coincidental and not intended in any manner.

During a BDA 5.2 upgrade, during Step 2, UpdateBaseImage, /opt/oracle/bda/network/post_upgrade103 is run on all cluster hosts to upgrade the base image.

The script is first run on the Mammoth node, node 1 by default, and then on the rest of the cluster hosts.

In the case here /opt/oracle/bda/network/post_upgrade103 fails on the non-Mammoth hosts.

Investigating further shows that the /opt/oracle/bda/network/post_upgrade103 on the non-Mammoth hosts is not the BDA 5.2 version of the script.

The BDA 5.2 version of the script only resides on the Mammoth node.
