Symptoms

There are a few possible symptoms:

1. "cellcli -e list cell detail" shows usbStatus as degraded:

usbStatus: degraded

2. Imageinfo shows usb status as:

Undefined:

Cell boot usb partition: /dev/sdm1
Cell boot usb version: undefined

or

Upgrading:

Cell boot usb partition: upgrading
Cell boot usb version: upgrading

3. "make_cellboot_usb -force -verbose" may fail with:

[WARNING ] File not found //opt/oracle.cellos/iso/cellbits/cellboot.tbz

[ERROR ] Unable to create CELLBOOT USB on /dev/sdm

4. "cellcli -e 'alter cell validate configuration'" is failing with:

CELL-02827: Configuration check for hardware and firmware encountered the following issues:
