Goal

This document help patch/upgrade BIOS & ILOM firmware manually on Oracle Database Appliance(ODA) after re-image. As per ODA release notes, re-image doesn't patch firmware (or) update the component versions. This document also applicable if BIOS & ILOM are not patched as part of ODA patching.

*** Reimaging does not patch the firmware or update the component versions; it only re-images the local system disk from an operating system perspective. After imaging is completed, provision the bare metal system.
