Symptoms

On : 19.13.0.0.0 version, RDBMS


Query performance using domain indexes has degraded after upgrading from 12cR2 to 19c (19.13).

Changes

The upgrade was done in-place using the Database Upgrade Assistant, and therefore, none of the initialization parameters were changed. Indexes were rebuild and optimizer statistics were gathered, but had no effect on improving performance. The execution plan for the same query is different between 12c and 19c.
