Symptoms

While checking fragmentation at segment level i.e. for a table using dbms_space.space_usage returns a large number of full blocks even though the table is having only few rows

Unformatted Blocks = 0
FS1 Blocks = 18
FS2 Blocks = 36
FS3 Blocks = 42
FS4 Blocks = 36175
Full Blocks = 5173680 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

select count(*) from <SCHEMA_NAME>.<TABLE_NAME> returns only 421 records
