MAA Reviews: Requesting Assistance, Providing Diagnostic Collections and Completing the Questionnaire (Doc ID 2953810.1)

Last updated on JUNE 06, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This document describes how Oracle customers can initiate an Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) review of their most critical application and database systems.

Scope

The MAA review process being described in this document is still in Limited Availability phase which currently requires some manual processing. This will limit the team to performing a single MAA review per week. An email notification will be sent once your review is active. As new automatic MAA review automation revisions occur, the goal is to have this 100% automated so the executive summary and detailed reports are delivered automatically and there will be no limit to how many MAA reviews are completed in a week. If you are using Oracle Platinum Services, the data gathering phase is simple. If you are not using Oracle Platinum Services, you will be required to provide EXAchk/ORAchk reports for primary and standby systems for one application as well as the output of specific DataGuard broker validate commands and attach these files to the Service Request (SR). To continue to improve the review process, please fill out the feedback survey. The MAA review will be expanded in future to include other evaluations such as a detailed DataGuard role transition readiness evaluation, platform sizing and analysis, etc.
