dbms_metadata.get_ddl can not get DDL table when table has many partitions. (Doc ID 2960254.1)

Symptoms

For a table with thousands of partitions the execution of the command "select dbms_metadata.get_ddl('<object_type>','<Name>','<Schema>') from dual;", does not return the a result although this one runs for a long time.
