How to clone oracle home in oracle 19c using gold image on IBM Linux on System z (Doc ID 2961356.1)

Goal

A gold image is a copy of a software-only, installed Oracle home. It is used to copy an image of an Oracle home to a new host on a new file system to serve as an active, usable Oracle home.

Gold image promote a more stable/standardized environment and make it easy to roll-out changes as it provides a single installable software containing all critical fixes.

This document shows a step-by-step instructions on how to create Gold Image using Oracle on IBM Linux on System z.

This test was performed on v19.19, it is highly recommended that you are running at least on this version.

This documentation is mainly to show that Gold Image works on this platform, it does not show the configuration of the x-windows client/server or what type you are using.  It is assumed that your x-window is working fine.
