After Running BDA 5.2 bdaredousb the Host whose USB Drive was Repaired Can Not Boot into the USB Drive (Doc ID 2968930.1)

Symptoms

This MOS note applies to BDA X5-2 and X6-2 servers running OL7.

On BDA 5.2, after running bdaredousb the affected host can not boot from the USB drive.  For example if, How to Reprovision a USB Drive Incorrectly Containing an ISO Image to Reimage a Healthy BDA X6-2/X5-2 Server (Doc ID 2961695.1), is followed to restore the USB drive on a affected host with:

Booting from the USB drive, [USB:USBIN0:ORACLE SSM PMAP], will fail. Booting from the hard drive, [RAID:PCIE6:(Bus 03 Dev 00)PCI RAID Adapter]will succeed.

 

Changes

Ran bdaredousb on an X5-2/X6-2 server with OL7 to repair a corrupt USB drive.
