How To Setup a REST API User Credential For MySQL Router (Doc ID 2972899.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2023

Applies to:

MySQL Router - Version 8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This document describes one of ways to setup a user credential for REST API for MySQL Router, which is described in the following manual page:

https://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql-router/en/mysql-router-rest-api.html

However, this document doesn't describe how to setup a user credential to access the REST API. The REST API is the only way to retrieve status from MySQL Router. Setting up a user credential is mandatory to retrieve status from MySQL Router. You can access "swagger.json" even if you don't have a REST API user account, however, you cannot access other endpoints unless a user credential is properly set up.
