NULLs in source varchar2/char fields of Oracle GG tables, we are getting a space in our hive fields, instead of NULLs (Doc ID 2977899.1)

Symptoms

Info - For each hive TEXTFILE tables, we have a corresponding .mdp.avsc mapping file.
Issue - Whenever there are NULLs in source varchar2/char fields of Oracle GG tables, we are getting a space in our hive fields, instead of NULLs in them. Please suggest how to overcome this.
