Symptoms

On : 8.0 version, Installation and Upgrading

Upgrade to 8.0.34 fail.

MySQL server update from version 8.0.33 to version 8.0.34.



The update was run on the replica side, there is an AUDIT plugin installed within the MySQL server, after installing the new version 8.0.34 an error occurs during startup and upgrade which prevents the server from starting. See:



The same update was performed today on four other MySQL servers, with the same AUDIT plugin installed. Everything went without a problem. The difference in MySQL servers is in the default encoding.

The problem server is utf8mb3 and the problem-free ones are utf8mb4.
