Purpose

This document is intended to provide guideline of Streams Pool configuration when using Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle xStream products. It supersedes all earlier Oracle Database recommendations (MOS notes, technical briefs, presentations) about the sizing of the Streams Pool memory for these products.

Scope

Oracle Database Streams Pool management is an important aspect for a healthy and stable environment making use of Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle xStream. This helps Support engineers, DBAs as well as GoldenGate administrators to better gauge, tune, and troubleshoot their systems.
