Common User Profile Are Not Inherited In Newly Created PDBs - Missing Records in PDB_SYNC$ (Doc ID 3009710.1)

Last updated on JULY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 19.3.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Customer reports that he created two common profiles on CDB$ROOT and both profiles are not being propagated on existing or newly created PDBs.

Customer created two more profiles, one with the exact same ddl and the second with a random ddl, and both are being created, except for the first two.

After this we check the common profiles to confirm this.

The pdb_sync$ table is used in order to recreate (replay) users, profiles and so on, on the pdbs that are created.

With the missing records, the problematic profiles will not be propagated to newly created PDBs.
