Goal
The goal of this document is to provide step by step guide on how to generate and implement secured Oracle GoldenGate 23ai deployments using self signed Certificates.
This document shares the create Self Signed SSL certificates -> setup_Certificate_2Deployments_singleRootCA.sh
script and other steps/information from
https://blogs.oracle.com/dataintegration/post/securing-goldengate-using-certificates
blog post.
This document covers the main steps required to
1. Generate self signed certificates for 2 GoldenGate 23ai installations in different servers/hosts. (source and target)
2. Run Oracle GoldenGate Configuration assistant (oggca.sh) to create Service Manager and initial deployment while showing
which certificates use in each wizard prompt for each server/host.
3. On SOURCE host, a new deployment called "east" is created/referenced.
4. On TARGET host, a new deployment called "west" is created/referenced.
5. Create "EASTTOWEST" secured Distribution Path from source to target host using OGG 23ai Distribution Service (url/webpage) on SOURCE host.
