Symptoms

Oracle Veridata Server UI shows many errors including

An Error Occurred:
Could not initialize class org.owasp.esapi.reference.DefaultValidator

Caused by:
java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError - Exception org.owasp.esapi.errors.ConfigurationException: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.owasp.esapi.reference.Log4JLogFactory LogFactory class (org.owasp.esapi.reference.Log4JLogFactory) must be in class path. [in thread "[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '6' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'"]
- Stack Trace
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class org.owasp.esapi.reference.DefaultValidator
at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method)

 

Changes

Patch 36178496: WLS STACK PATCH BUNDLE 12.2.1.4.240111 
or higher was installed.
