Intermingled Stderr And Stdout Output In Mysqldump Output File (Doc ID 3061304.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2024

Applies to:

MySQL Server - Version 8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Especially when using --verbose option of mysqldump,  and directing both stderr and stdout to the same file, the dump file is not reloadable because the two streams get mixed up in the file.

Changes

Maybe enabled --verbose option recently, or there is more stderr output than previously.
