Symptoms
- Customers encountered the ORA-65040 error when attempting to drop or change certain database directory objects in a pluggable database.
- The issue specifically arises when attempting to manage Oracle-supplied local directory objects within the PDB.
- The error message states: "ORA-65040 operation not allowed from within a pluggable database."
Changes
Database has been upgraded to 19c from 12c and found incorrect patch of DATA_PUMP_DIR of user PDB is found.
