GGBD Replicat Leaving AVRO Files Behind During Initial Data Load (Doc ID 3062954.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2025

Applies to:

Oracle GoldenGate Big Data and Application Adapters - Version 21.14.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Performed initial data load replicat from Oracle to Snowflake using the Goldengate for Bigdata version 21.12 and
it was leaving avro files behind.

We upgraded to 21.15OGGBD version and unfortunately, the replicat was completed but there was one avro file left in dirout directory:

[oracle@xxxxxxx dirout]$ pwd
/u01/app/oracle/product/goldengate/gbd_21.15/dirout
[oracle@xxxxxxx dirout]$ ls -l
-rw-r-----. 1 oracle oinstall 779212385 Oct 21 09:19 RIXXXXX_ISON.XX_XX_XX_MAP_TMP_2024-10-21_09-18-30.265.dat.tmp

We noticed that many of the tables had their AVRO files left over in the DIROUT location and they are not consumed by the Snowflake.
We do not see any error or issue from the logfile or the report file but the AVRO files are still left over and the source and target
tables count are mismatching.
