Symptoms
The PL/SQL procedure DBMS_XMLSTORAGE_MANAGE.XPath2TabColMapping can be used to find the names of the underlying tables and columns that correspond to a given XPath expression. However, it fails with errors when run by a user other than the table owner, see below:
Given these two tables under the TAB_OWNER schema. SHIPORDERS1, a xmlType table, and SHIPORDER2, a table with a xmlType column named DOC:
