Purpose

This note provides you some guidance for database memory configuration is order to reduce (memory) related errors and improve database performance.

The suggestions made here are based on the Development team's recommendations, on the ORA-4031 causes and solutions and the Oracle documentation. It may not solve all the problems, as issues might occur from various other causes that we cannot predict, in which case you will need to open a service request with Oracle Support.

Here is a list of errors that might be avoided after using these recommendations:
