Goal
Bad performance can be seen during Workspace Manager operations like MergeTable or MergeWorkspace. This is often due to a full table scan being done on the <table_name>_LT table.
Workspace manager cannot guarantee a particular plan for a statement. It is up to the Cost Based Optimizer to select the desired plan based on the available statistics and database parameters.
This note describes a few steps which can be taken to improve performance of Workspace Manager operations.
