Symptoms
During direct DataPump import of table which has a LONG column from a 10.1.0.4 instance into a 10.1.0.4 instance via NETWORK_LINK parameter you get:
ORA-31693: Table data object "<SCHEMA>"."<TABLE>" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error:
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error
Other possible error are:
ORA-31693: Table data object "<SCHEMA>"."<TABLE>" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error:ORA-6502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: Bulk Bind: Truncated Bind
ORA-31693: Table data object "<SCHEMA>"."TABLE>" failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error:ORA-997: illegal use of LONG datatype
