ORA-314 Attempting to Startup Database following Restore from Offline Backup (Doc ID 330793.1)

For the purposes of this document, the following fictitious environment is used as an example
to describe the procedure:

Service Name  = orac
Directory = /oradata2/orac/ and all subdirectories



Database startup from a newly restored offline backup fails with the following:

ORA-00314: log 1 of thread 1, expected sequence# doesn't match
ORA-00312: online log 1 thread 1: '/oradata2/orac/onln_log/log1a.ora'
ORA-00312: online log 1 thread 1: '/oradata6/orac/onln_log/log1b.ora'
