Goal

This document is intended to provide guidelines concerning how to schedule regularly recurring materialized view refresh group jobs that start at the same time each interval.  It assumes that the refresh group already exists.  Examples are provided that show how to schedule a refresh group refresh that runs every day at the same time, every hour on the hour, or every five minutes.  For the latter example, the refresh will occur at the five minute mark from the time it was first changed, i.e. if it was changed using DBMS_REFRESH.CHANGE at 7:45:33, it would run next at 7:50:00, then 7:55:00, etc.

Note that an instance restart may be necessary to make the schedule take effect.
