Symptoms

ORA-00600 [EVAPLS1] can occur, while selecting from table using functions.

Example:
create table <TABLE_NAME> (<COLUMN_NAME> integer);
insert into <TABLE_NAME> values (1);
create or replace function <FUNCTION_NAME> (param in integer)
return varchar2
is
begin
return 'Plun';
end;
/

Following select will return ORA-00600 [evapls] error

select rownum, <COLUMN_NAME> from(select <COLUMN_NAME> from <TABLE_NAME> where
<FUNCTION_NAME>(<COLUMN_NAME>) like '%Plun%' order by 1) ;
