Symptoms
Using Oracle OLE DB Provider 10gR1 (10.1.0.x) and 10gR2 (lower then 10.2.0.4) and 11gR2 (11.2.0.3) inside a Microsoft Visual Basic Application with MDAC 2.8 throws
Oracle OLE DB Provider 8i (8.1.x), 9iR1 (9.0.1.x) and 9iR2 (9.2.0.x) and 11gR1 (11.1.0.x) and 11gR2 (11.2.0.1 / 11.2.0.2) working without error.
