VM Error Fetching Data Above 250k Using GetString With a Long Varchar Datatype (Doc ID 351116.1)

Symptoms

When retrieving data from either LONG VARCHAR, LONG, and long varbinary
column with more than 250 KB of data results in the following error:

An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM.
Unexpected Signal : EXCEPTION_STACK_OVERFLOW (0xc00000fd) occurred at
PC=0x2C891 57
Function=[Unknown.]
Library=<PATH>\Mobile\Sdk\bin\oljdbc40.dll
