This problem can occur on any platform.

After a database restart, the capture process starts at the log that is 2 logminer checkpoints BEFORE the last acknowledged scn of all targets of the source capture process. This acknowledged
scn is visible as the applied_scn in the DBA_CAPTURE view.

NOTE: REQUIRED_CHECKPOINT_SCN is the column in dba_capture that indicates
the SCN at which capture restarts. It is equivalent to the 2 logminer
checkpoints before the acknowledged applied message. Please refer to this
column explicitly. It is available with and above.
