Oracle Database 10g with EM, RMAN and Flash Recovery Area


Symptoms

Using the Oracle Database 10g Suggested Strategy for Backup and Recovery using EM.

The space allocated to the Flash Recovery Area (FRA) is not being released by Oracle . 

Changes

Using the RMAN 'show all' command, the RMAN Retention Policy was changed from the default REDUNDANCY 1 to a RECOVERY WINDOW of 2 days.
