Goal

You have a couple of 2 node RAC databases.

To test your backup strategy, you set up a backup using ASM storage.

Your archiving is also using ASM.

You noticed that after the archives are deleted, the ASM space is not released. 

You also deleted the test database, but the ASM space is not released.

Now you need to delete the backup files and archivelogs.  All of these files are on ASM.
