Symptoms

Doing a relink of Oracle executable gives some warnings as reported by the linker.

Sample:

  /scratch/10.2/lib//libcore10.a(lcd.o)(.text+0x9d2): In function `lcdprm':
  : the `gets' function is dangerous and should not be used.

or

/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/lib//libcore10.a(slftmp.o)(.text+0x20): In function `SlfTmpnam':
