DBCA Not Listing Existing Single Instance Database When Trying To Convert it to RAC (Doc ID 359356.1)

Trying to convert a single instance Database to RAC by using dbca to add 2nd instance on 2nd node, DBCA does not list the single instance DB in the DB list. But if select 'Oracle single instance database' instead of 'Oracle RAC database' on the first screen of dbca,  the single instance is listed there.
