Symptoms

You have successfully completed a database upgrade without any errors, but notice that there are some invalid SYS owned objects that begin with x_$. For example:

Note:  These objects may be named in upper, lower or mixed case and are usually views starting with the x_$

sys x_$bh
sys x_$kcbwbpd
sys x_$kcbwds

If you try to recompile these views manually, you receive a warning similar to the following:

alter view x_$bh compile;
warning : view altered with compilation errors.
- show errors;
No errors.

If you try to recompile other invalid views or procedures, you may get errors like ORA-904 and ORA-907.
