Goal

This note describes the process how to setup generic connectivity on Solaris using Informix ODBC driver included in the Informix SDK packages for Solaris.

The configuration shown in this note applies to Informix SDK 2.90 UC1 and 2.90 UC3 which is available at the IBM Informix Web sites.
Please be aware that HSODBC is a 32bit application and thus requires a 32bit Informix client installation - even on 64 bit machines with a 64bit Oracle environment.
