Symptoms

During installation with the Database Configuration Assistant (DBCA) on Solaris 10, the following error is shown in a pop-up window:

SGA size can not be greater than maximum shared memory segment size(0).
Refer to Oracle installation guide to configure your operating system kernel
parameters.


Changes

You are installing the first Oracle database on this host. You have configured the kernel for
the use of sufficiently large shared memory segments to be allocated.
