Password Not Required When Administering 10g or Newer Listeners Using Lsnrctl Utility (Doc ID 372717.1)

After setting a password for the 10g or later listener, the lsnrctl utility will not ask for a password for STOP or other privileged commands.

A password has been configured in the listener.
