DataPump Export (EXPDP) Fails With Error ORA-1801 In 10g Databases Migrated From Earlier Releases (Doc ID 374600.1)

When trying to export a migrated database from a pre 10g version to 10gR1, the following errors occur:

ORA-39125: Worker unexpected fatal error in KUPW$WORKER.UNLOAD_METADATA while
ORA-01801: date format is too long for internal buffer
