When attempting to use a 10.2.0.2,10.2.0.3 or 10.2.0.5 client to connect to an Oracle database server, the following error is encountered
ORA-604 Error Occurred at Recursive SQL level 1
Setting SQL_TRACE=TRUE for the database server, recreating the problem, and examining the trace file shows the following error:
PARSING IN CURSOR #2 len=32 dep=1 uid=32 oct=42 lid=32 tim=3360397972330583 hv=3
ALTER SESSION SET TIME_ZONE='%s'
END OF STMT
ERROR #2:err=1882 tim=157903036
ORA-1882 means "timezone region %s not found"
